Information:
- Difficulty obtaining a leak tight seal may occur when using PTFE piston seals and low pressure springs (2-5 PSI) with 1/4" & 3/8" size non-return valves. This is rectified by using a stronger pressure spring and/or a viton (or other elastopolymer) piston seal.
- A filter/strainer should be installed upstream of any valve when using a process medium containing suspended solids. This will protect the packing seal materials and prevent valve failure.
